The wine and the environment are closely related to us as are ecology and tradition, grassing and strength of sunlight or innovation and oenology.

The quality depends not only on the ground but also a significant pruning. With a ratio of 40 to 60 hl/ha, we bring the optimum conditions to obtain excellent wines.

Each parcel is special, which must be respected, it's why we separate each of these wines to provide the best.

We work 8 hectares on own crop. Our vineyard extends over different type of grounds, such clay- Limestone, Limestone-marl and Clayey Marly. All Alsatian wines are represented in our range (Riesling, Muscat (Alsace and Otonel), Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, Sylvaner and Chardonnay for the Crémant), so you can find your ideal wine.

Our annual production is very low, on average we produce 35,000 bottles. In recent years is not very productive, and facing strong demand, we are regularly in need of some wine during the year, so do not hesitate to book your bottles in advance via contact@alsace-jean-huttard.fr.

In respect of the grapes, and they get the most intact possible press, we harvested exclusively by hand.

The bottling takes place six months after harvest.

Jean HUTTARD wines deserve to age 3 to 5 years for varietal wines, 5-10 for terroir wines, up to 15 years for the Grands Crus or more for “Vendanges Tardives” and “Sélection de Grains Nobles”.

Let us not forget also that we are part of the Pioneers in 1974 in the development of Crémant d'Alsace (Sparkling), It completes our range marvelously. So, you’ll be amazed by the delicacy of its bubbles after 30 months of waiting on racks.
