Jean Jacques Huttard was one of the five pioneers in the production of Crémant d'Alsace, he understood before all the importance of sparkling wines in France and Europe. Innovative and having the thirst of the change, he was also one of the first to understand the importance of grassing interesting for sustainable management of the vineyard.

This is naturally that Jean Claude Huttard is officially taking charge of the family business in 1979. Like his father he put on ancestral traditions while highlighting innovations. Historically, it highlights the importance of the Alsatian vineyards and he favors the fragmented wine makings. He also mechanized the maximum in the vineyard (treatments, trellising, trimming ...) while not neglecting manual labor (budding, trellising, suckering, harvest ...).
